Creating a Zone
Introduction
The tagStorm Creation Portal allows you to create AR Zones and other location-based experiences anywhere in the World using a simple “drag n drop” interface. Themed walking tours, navigational waypoints, places of interest and even scavenger hunts can be built easily by following just a few steps. Simply create a Zone then drop multimedia Tags for each location where you want images, videos, text, weblinks or 3D objects to appear.
Add a Zone
To begin, adjust the map area so that it shows the entire region of your new Zone then drag and drop the Tour icon to its approximate centrepoint. You can then resize the Zone area by dragging the points out from the Zone’s perimeter. Only Tags within the perimeter will be visible inside the Zone.
2. Detail your Zone
In the Details panel, add a Zone Image (a logo of your brand or special event banner) and a brief description of the Zone. This will be presented to users when they first enter the AR experience.
Outside Activation Zone Description - optional text that appears as a message if the user activates your Tour when they are outside of its perimeter.
Zone Complete Text - optional text for a sequenced Zone that appears after it has been completed.
The expanded More... panel contains an assortment of settings allowing the user customizable controls such as visibility, distance and height. Leave default for now unless you have other instructions from our team.
3. Add Tags
Now you’re ready to populate your Zone with Tags. You will drop one Tag for each real-world location where you want AR Info Tags or animated 3D objects to appear.
Info Tags - These can contain media such as text, images and video.
Start by dragging an Info Tag to your desired location
Enter text for the Title and upload your a custom thumbnail image, this is what your users will see when they discover your Tags out in the World.
Add media that will be seen in a full-screen view after the user clicks on your Tag. This can be a larger image or video file.
Add more text to the Description box to give your users more detailed information. This box can also contain basic HTML including links to your website, landing pages or other call-to-action (CTA) links.
Finally, click “Save” and you’re done for this Tag.
Object Tags - 3D animated assets that can be used for interactive experiences.
Please note: these are more advanced and may require help from our team.

Finally, click “Save” and you’re done for this Tag.
Rinse & Repeat until you have placed a Tag for each location in your Zone. Just remember to place them within the perimeter of your Zone.
4. Publish your Zone
Once happy with your Zone, you can share and distribute it easily using a single URL that is 100% unique for you. Click on your Zone icon in the map or select it from the taglist. Scroll down and you will see the URL “deep link”. You can copy n paste it into to share to your social media outlet or email and you’re done! To integrated your new AR experience into your existing app, simply wrap the URL in an HTML button.
